Making an Offer

Investigate mortgage programs Contact a reputable lender and get pre-approved for a loan.

 Prepare a short list of preferred a preferred suburbs that suit your lifestyle and develop a "needs and Wants" list for 
  your house.

Select a professional real estate agent or your Real estate @ Work Sales Agent specialising in your search areas, as
  the agent will be able to offer additional up-to-date information and also alert you to new listings before they reach the 
  open market. 

Research housing inventory with your Real estate @ Work Recent Sales.

Inspect every property in your preferred suburbs to have a feel for the price.

Narrow down your choices using your "needs and wants" list

Request for a copy of the sale contract to your solicitor/conveyancer.

Negotiate the contract with the sellers and write a purchase offer for the home with your Real Estate @ Work agent.  
           
Sign the sales contract and pay a 10% deposit.

The vendor will sign their sale contract and the solicitor/conveyancer or agent will exchange the contracts.

Schedule a building and pest inspection.

Attend settlement to ensure that the property is in the same condition as when you last inspected it and that all the 
inclusions are as per the contract.
